The EYLF has a strong emphasis on play-based learning, whilst also recognising the importance of communication and language and social and emotional development through the following learning outcomes:
A Creative Space for Creative Kids!
Art has a powerful impact on the way your child grows and develops… Drawing is one of the most basic art forms, allowing your kid to fully delve into the tranquil world of creativity, new skills, and a new hobby!
The emphasis is to introduce a number of art concepts in a fun explorative way with caregivers on standby to encourage and assist as each student undertakes two or three projects per class.
Canossa Kindergarten is run by the Canossian Daughters of
Charity, an international religious congregation founded more than 200 years ago. The Canossian Sisters, through their specific charism, dedicate themselves to making Jesus known and loved.
Canossa has beautifully developed indoor and outdoor learning space which offer children spontaneously and planned
experiences as appropriate to the developmental capabilities of each child. With a vast array of educational resources, set amidst environmentally sustainable learning space, children are supported to take safe risks. Each day staff consider and question the function, flexibility and responsiveness of the space to ensure it continually challenges and enhances children’s play.
